Restoring Resolutions

Dear Mosaic Boston Family,
Happy New Year! This season always seems to bring hope, a chance at a fresh start. We decide we’ll start going to the gym, eating better, or working harder. However, I used to be the one who hated New Year's Day. Being forced to make resolutions, fully knowing I wouldn’t be able to keep any of them for more than a few months. What’s so great about that? So I started to think…why even bother with resolutions when I can’t fully keep them?
Well, I decided to see what Scripture has to say about resolutions and man was I surprised! Within the pages I found a secret––the key to successfully following through on your resolutions! And the best news? It’s not even a well-kept secret! It is found literally everywhere in Scripture! One man in particular stands out at making resolutions and struggling to keep them, the Apostle Peter. We will look at 1 Peter 2:1-12 to see what he has to tell us from his experiences of both failures and success in resolutions.
This New Year’s Eve, join us as we uncover why we desire to make resolutions, and what it takes to live them out.
God Bless,
Tyler Burns
