Nehemiah: A City within a City

Dear Mosaic Family,

I'm thrilled to start a new sermon series tomorrow at Mosaic Boston, Brookline, through the epic book of Nehemiah. Have you read it? In preparation for this series, I certainly recommend you start reading it, to get the narrative flow, and come ready to hear from the Lord.

In a nutshell, the book of Nehemiah is about a godly young professional, whose heart is stirred by the brokenness of the city of God, which prior to the person and work of Christ, was in Jerusalem. He risks everything, and pours himself out wholeheartedly into the work of God. God gives Nehemiah a "God-sized" vision for his life, the kind of vision that will never come to fruition apart from the sovereign and miraculous intervention of God Himself. Nehemiah devotes his life to be used by God, to help rebuild the city of God, within the city of man.

What's your vision for you life? Do you have a vision for your life? Do you have a "God-sized" vision for your life? How does your vision for your life transcend you? What's your vision for your church? What's your vision for your city? These are all questions we'll be wrestling with as we work our way through the powerful and practical book of Nehemiah. Join us tomorrow at one of our three services in Brookline. Also, Mosaic Boston, Jamaica Plain is having their final preview service tomorrow morning (before their launch of weekly services on October 1st). All the details can be found here

Praying for you,
Pastor Jan
