Pastors and Staff

Jan Vezikov

Lead Pastor

Jan, pronounced “yahn,” (as in “never beyond grace” or “yarn” with a Boston accent) moved to Boston in July, 2009 with his family to plant a church. Pastor Jan was born in Estonia, but grew up in the great state of Rhode Island. He graduated with a triple major in International Relations, Business Economics, and Slavic Studies from Brown University, in Providence, RI. After working a couple years as an analyst, Jan devoted several years to studying theology and the Scriptures. In May 2009, he graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree, focusing in Advanced Biblical studies. He holds a ThM degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is pursuing his Doctorate of Ministry from Westminster Theological Seminary. Pastor Jan has also completed a church planting residency with Fellowship Associates and a pastoral residency with the Ockenga Fellows Institute. Most importantly, however, Jan loves Jesus, his beautiful wife Tanya, and their four daughters Sophia, Elizabeth, Ekaterina, and Milana.

Executive Pastor

Shane was born in Chicago and raised in Fulton, Illinois – a small Dutch community along the mighty Mississippi river. His childhood was filled with church, fishing, baseball, and lots of adventure. In 2004, he finished his undergrad in Computer Graphic Design, and the following year married Kelly, the love of his life! After college, Shane started his career at an ad agency, but within a few months God called him to be a pastor instead. After spending a few years in the design world, he quit his job to attend seminary. In 2010 Shane completed a Master of Divinity degree and spent a few years serving at a large church in the Quad Cities, Iowa. After a providential trip to New England in September of 2012, God called Shane, Kelly and their son Owen, to move from the Midwest to the great city of Boston, and join the mission of Mosaic! Since then, they have also welcomed Nora into their family.

Andy and his family moved back to Boston this summer from Pittsburgh, PA where he was completing his Master of Divinity program at Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He graduated from Swarthmore College with his B.A. in Economics in 2010. Andy and his wife, Joyce, formerly attended Mosaic back in 2011, where they met in a community group. They have a 2-year-old son, Drew.
