Newsletter: What Do You Want

Dear Mosaic Family,

Twice in our text for this Sunday, Jesus asks, "What do you want me to do for you?" If Jesus asked you the same question, how would you respond?

The first time, Jesus asks the question of James and John, who requested: "Grant us to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your glory."

How does Jesus respond to this request? He says, "You do not know what you are asking."

The second time, Jesus asks the question of a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, who exclaims, "Rabbi, let me recover my sight." And Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well." And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.

Bartimaeus knew exactly what he wanted Jesus to do for him. Of course he did! Jesus heals him, and tells him to go his way. Here is where Bartimaeus' faith gives him spiritual sight: he goes, not his way, but He follows Jesus.

Bartimaeus, with his life, answered, "Lord, since you have had mercy on me, what do you want me to do for you?"

Join us Sunday as we meditate upon God's Word from Mark 10:32-52.

Looking forward to worshiping with you!

Baptism Class

Sunday, March 17 from 11:15am-12:00pm

Baptism symbolizes a Believer’s union with Jesus Christ, who laid down His life and took it up again for us, so that we too might walk in the newness of life. It is a picture of death and resurrection. And deciding to be baptized is a big milestone for any Christian, and it is an important part of your walk with God. Register for our upcoming Baptism Seminar to learn more about baptism at Mosaic.
